Hannu Väisänen (b. 1951) is a Finnish visual artist who lives and works in France. He studied at the school of the Finnish Academy of Arts in 1970-1974. He works mainly in painting and printmaking, but was also a member of the performance group Records Singers. Väisänen has also become known as a writer whose novel "Other Shoes" won the Finlandia Prize, the top literary prize in Finland, in 2007.
