Kalervo Palsa (1947-1987) was a Finnish artist known for his grotesque subjects and self-portraits, who spent most of his life in Kittilä in Northern Finland. He studied at the The Finnish Art Academy School in 1973-1977. Palsa bequeathed his large body of work and diaries to his friend Maj-Lis Pitkänen, who in turn donated them to the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in 1999.
